What is an envelope and how does it relate to my plan?
An envelope is one electronic sending container that can include one or more documents, signers, and CC recipients. Once sent, it counts once against the plan allowance, regardless of how many documents, fields, or recipients it contains.
How many envelopes are included with each plan?
The Free Trial includes 20 envelopes for seven days. Basic includes 100 envelopes per year. Business Pro and Enterprise use custom envelope allowances configured through Sales.
Does Nota Sign charge per user?
No. Every Nota Sign plan includes unlimited users without per-seat fees. Envelope allowances are shared across the plan and are not multiplied by the number of users.
What should I do if I need more envelopes?
Contact Sales to increase your envelope allowance or move to a plan with custom volume. Envelope limits are configured at the plan level.
How do I purchase add-ons?
Add-ons require a paid Basic, Business Pro, or Enterprise plan and are configured through Sales. Available options include SMS and WhatsApp delivery, recipient identity verification, SSO, Indonesia e-Meterai, Global Trust Service Provider routing, and advanced electronic seals.
What is the difference between SMS or WhatsApp delivery and recipient authentication?
Multi-channel delivery sends signing invitations and reminders through SMS or WhatsApp. SMS and phone authentication verifies recipient access with a one-time code or supported phone check. Identity verification and eKYC are separate higher-assurance identity checks.
Which plans include Bulk Send, approvals, branding, and APIs?
Business Pro and Enterprise include Bulk Send, bulk signing, approval workflows, recipient access controls, custom branding, the eSignature API, embedded sending and signing, and the EU advanced eSeal API.
Which signing languages are supported?
Nota Sign supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Thai, Russian, Portuguese, Vietnamese, and Indonesian. The signing experience can use the recipient’s browser language as the default.
Which electronic signature and seal levels are available for EU workflows?
The Free Trial supports Simple Electronic Signature (SES). Basic, Business Pro, and Enterprise support SES, Advanced Electronic Signature (AES), and Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) workflows aligned with eIDAS requirements. Certificate-backed advanced and qualified electronic seals are available through Sales with supported Trust Service Providers.
What audit and evidence records are included?
Every plan includes a real-time audit trail and a signing evidence report covering envelope information, participant identity, signing times, activity history, document information, and signature records.
Which data center options are available?
Nota Sign supports service options in Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Frankfurt to address regional deployment and data storage requirements.
Does Nota Sign support 21 CFR Part 11 workflows?
21 CFR Part 11 support is available through Sales for Business Pro and Enterprise. Supported capabilities include streamlined Part 11 signing, email verification codes, and required signing reasons for eligible GxP workflows.
