Digital Signature Certificates from eMudhra

eMudhra is an Indian Certifying Authority licensed by the Controller of Certifying Authorities. Its Digital Signature Certificates, commonly called DSCs, are used in workflows such as GST and income-tax filing, company submissions and electronic tendering. Those examples explain the certificate's wider role; the transaction on this page is document signing through Nota Sign.

The provider offers individual and organization options, and separates signature certificates from encryption certificates and combined products. Select the credential appropriate to the action you need to perform.

Prepare the certificate with the provider

eMudhra's official application information describes choosing a certificate, completing Aadhaar eKYC and downloading the issued credential. It also identifies video recording as part of DSC issuance. Follow the provider's requirements for your application, including the identity checks it requests, before relying on the certificate for a signing task.

Keep certificate enrollment distinct from approval of a document. Obtaining a DSC establishes the credential; the later signing request applies that credential to a particular transaction.

Use eMudhra in Nota Sign

Read the document and complete the required fields in Nota Sign. Proceed with the configured eMudhra signing method, follow its requested authorization steps and finish the document workflow in Nota Sign. Have the appropriate signing credential available for that journey.

The provider's certificate-application page does not determine every authorization step in an integrated signing request. Use the instructions supplied for the method in your document workflow.

Keep the Indian certificate context

Class 3 DSC and Aadhaar-based eSign appear as distinct offerings in eMudhra's official information. Preserve that distinction when preparing to sign. Indian certificate terminology does not by itself establish an EU qualified electronic signature, and a certificate selected for encryption should not be assumed to provide the signing function required by a document.
