Qualified signing through a mobile identity

Evrotrust provides remote qualified electronic signatures and electronic identification within its trust-service portfolio. Its mobile application lets people take part in identity checks and electronic document approval. The provider is a qualified trust service provider operating in the eIDAS context.

The signature service and the identity service have related but separate roles. Identity verification establishes who is participating; a signature request asks that person to approve a document. A completed identification request should therefore be understood in the context of the task that follows.

Prepare for the Evrotrust request

Have access to the Evrotrust mobile application and complete the provider's remote identity checks when requested. Follow the instructions associated with the request you receive. The mobile experience is where the provider carries out its identity and signing functions, while Nota Sign holds the document workflow.

Read the document before authorizing its signature. When a transaction includes an identity request as well as document approval, pay attention to the purpose of each action rather than assuming that one approval finishes both.

Complete the signature in Nota Sign

Review the document in Nota Sign and fill in the required fields. Continue using the configured Evrotrust method, complete the requested provider authorization and then finish the document workflow in Nota Sign. The qualified signature belongs to the document approval performed through that method.

Distinguish signatures from other trust services

Evrotrust's wider offering includes electronic seals, timestamps and validation services. A person's signature and an organization's seal serve different purposes, so use the action configured for the transaction. Additional trust services should not be assumed to accompany every signature. Evrotrust's official overview explains its remote signing and electronic-identification offering.
