HARICA's academic roots and signing services
The Hellenic Academic and Research Institutions Certification Authority, known as HARICA, is funded by the Greek Universities Network. Its certificate services span document signatures, organization seals, email, websites and software. For a document-signing request, the relevant certificate is the one issued for the signature or seal you need to apply.
HARICA's trust information covers qualified certificates for electronic signatures and seals, together with qualified timestamps. These services address different parts of a transaction: a person's approval, an organization's document origin and evidence of time. Their roles remain distinct even when a workflow combines them.
Prepare the CertManager signing route
HARICA offers a remote route through its CertManager platform. Have access to the HARICA signing identity and service required for your request, and follow the provider's certificate setup instructions where enrollment is needed. A personal electronic signature uses a credential identifying the individual. An organization seal uses a credential identifying the organization. Choosing the appropriate role is particularly relevant when staff approve agreements and the organization also issues sealed documents. HARICA's website presents separate products for these uses.
