Itsme

Since 2017, the itsme® app has been the simple and secure reference for mobile identification and privacy protection in the digital world.

Nota Sign document signing with Itsme

Recognise the action in itsme

The itsme app brings several identity-related actions together: creating an online account, logging in, approving a transaction, sharing identity information and signing a document. This is useful for people who already use their smartphone to identify themselves, but each request has its own purpose. Review what the app asks you to authorise before confirming it.

The document-signing service supports qualified electronic signatures (QES). That signing function is distinct from an ordinary login or payment confirmation. The fact that the same app handles both actions does not make every itsme approval a document signature.

Prepare your mobile identity

Have your own itsme app ready before starting a signing request in Nota Sign. The phone is where you handle the requested itsme action, while Nota Sign holds the document workflow. itsme describes its mobile experience as avoiding card readers and complex passwords.

An existing identity account used for other services is familiar preparation, but the request still needs to be for signing. For account setup and current service information, use the official itsme website.

Sign the document in Nota Sign

Nota Sign supports signing with itsme. Open the document, read its contents and complete the fields assigned to you. Continue with itsme as the configured signing method, then review and authorise the requested action through itsme.

After the mobile authorisation, complete the signing journey in Nota Sign and check the document's completion state. An app confirmation alone should not replace that final check. This keeps the identity action on your phone connected to the particular document you reviewed and approved.
