LT ID

LT ID is a modern electronic identity solution launched in Lithuania to provide secure, mobile-based authentication and digital signing capabilities for citizens and residents.

Lithuania's app-based signing option

LT ID brings electronic identity and digital signing to a dedicated mobile application for people in Lithuania. It is designed to sit alongside the country's existing identity tools, including the Lithuanian ID card and Mobile-ID. The app provides another way to authorise electronic transactions from a mobile device.

For document signing, that means preparing the LT ID application and the signing credential associated with it. The physical ID card and the SIM-based Mobile-ID service are separate methods with different preparation. Choose the credential that matches the signing method configured for your document.

The qualified signing route

Nota Sign supports LT ID qualified electronic signatures (QES). The qualified route depends on the corresponding credential being issued by a qualified trust service provider. Installing an identity app or using an identity function alone does not establish that a particular signature is qualified.

Have LT ID ready for the signing service required by the request before starting. Identity setup and credential preparation are separate from filling in a business document, and any provider-side preparation should be completed before authorising the signature. The app-based format describes how you interact with the service; the trust-service credential determines the qualified signing route.

Complete the document in Nota Sign

Start in Nota Sign by reading the document and entering the information assigned to you. Continue with LT ID as the configured CA method, then follow the requested authorisation in the mobile service.

Finish the signing workflow in Nota Sign and check its completion state. This keeps the mobile approval connected to the document you reviewed. LT ID handles the requested signing authorisation, while Nota Sign provides the document workflow through to completion.
