Singapore's identity service for remote signing
Singpass provides several ways to use a verified identity in everyday transactions. Its official service information distinguishes online login, in-person identity checks, sharing government-sourced information through Myinfo, and remote digital signing. Each function serves a different part of a transaction.
For a document request, the relevant function is signing. Your Singpass identity helps establish who is approving the document, and the signing authorization records that approval. Nota Sign supports Singpass within the document workflow, so the review and completion of the request take place there.
Prepare your Singpass access
Check that you can use your Singpass account and have the app available for any authentication requested in the signing journey. Resolve account-access questions before beginning document authorization. The official Singpass website provides registration information, security guidance and access to help.
Singpass advises users to keep their ID, password and authentication details private and to check that its website uses the singpass.gov.sg domain. It also states that Singpass does not send web links or QR codes through SMS or WhatsApp. Follow the authorization request you initiate from the document workflow and read the details before approving it.
Complete Singpass digital signatures in Nota Sign
Open the document in Nota Sign, read what you are being asked to approve and complete the required fields. Continue with the configured Singpass signing method. Complete the requested authentication and document authorization, then finish the signing process in Nota Sign.
Check the completed document after the approval returns to the workflow. Logging in or consenting to share identity information answers a different request from signing: the document action is complete when you have authorized the signature and finished the Nota Sign request.
