Qualified signing with Mobile ID
Swisscom Trust Services connects verified identity with remote electronic signatures. Its signing services address both the European eIDAS framework and Switzerland's ZertES framework. In the Swisscom method supported by Nota Sign, the Mobile ID app provides the mobile authorization used for qualified electronic signing.
The document and the authorization have different roles: Nota Sign presents the agreement for review, while the mobile interaction lets the signer approve the requested signature.
Prepare your Swisscom signing identity
Have the Mobile ID app ready and ensure that your signing identity has been enrolled. The documented method offers remote identity verification for signers who need to obtain a Swisscom signing certificate and set up the application. Follow that enrollment process when you do not already have the required identity and app access.
Completing identity verification establishes the basis for later signing. Each document still requires the authorization requested in its own signing journey. Access to the application alone should not be treated as confirmation that the certificate setup is complete.
Complete the Swisscom request in Nota Sign
Read the document in Nota Sign and complete its required fields. Continue with Swisscom and follow the Mobile ID authorization associated with the request. Once the signature has been authorized, complete the document workflow in Nota Sign.
Match the signature to the requested framework
A Swiss qualified-signature route and an EU qualified-signature route are separate configurations. When a document calls for a particular framework, use the Swisscom signing route configured for that requirement. The provider's presence in both markets does not make the two configurations interchangeable.
