VNPT

VNPT is a Vietnamese certification authority providing cloud identity verification, advanced electronic signatures, and electronic seals through VNPT SmartCA.

VNPT SmartCA's remote-signing model

VNPT SmartCA provides remote digital signing through web and mobile services. The provider describes signing keys operating within a cloud hardware security module, separating the protected key environment from the device on which a person reviews and approves a document.

This model is useful when document work spans different devices. The signer needs access to the relevant SmartCA identity and authorization process, while the signing key is managed by the remote service. VNPT also describes web and app access to transaction history as part of its own account-management offering.

Personal signatures and organisation credentials

Nota Sign supports VNPT digital signatures and electronic seals. VNPT's published service information distinguishes individual customers, individuals acting within an organisation, and organisational customers. Those categories should not be collapsed into a single credential: an individual's signature and an organisation's seal express different identities.

Before signing, make sure the credential matches the role required by the document. Setting up an account or activating a service package is separate from approving the use of a signing credential for a particular transaction.

Sign through Nota Sign with VNPT

  1. Open the Nota Sign signing request and review the document.
  2. Complete the required fields and continue with the VNPT method.
  3. Follow the SmartCA identity and authorization instructions presented for the request.
  4. Complete the document approval in Nota Sign after authorization succeeds.

The official VNPT SmartCA website provides service activation and account-management information. Its broader VNPT product catalogue contains other signing products; instructions for those products should not be substituted for the SmartCA remote-signing method.

The signing experience described here keeps the document in Nota Sign. It does not require a second upload to an unrelated provider document portal or imply that a local Vietnamese certificate is automatically an EU qualified signing credential.
